Just recently my lockrite has been starting to slip and have ended up with a wheel spinning.
The other day I was playing in a hole and was trying to climb up out on a shingle edge and one wheel had no drive, tried a few times and eventually with giving it some herbs and dropping the clutch the other wheel took up the drive and I managed to climb out.
What is normally the cause of failure on these?
The diff has water in it when the above happened and I'm intending on replacing it today. Is it possible that the thinned down oil is having any affect and when it is replaced the bad dream will go away or should I be pulling things out while the oil is drained?

strip it down mate, i would guess that you have waaaaay to much clearance between the pack or it has other more sinister issues.
i stip mine down for inspection after 8 or 10 trips to make sure its all good(due to check it again now) just to be safe and have peace of mind.

If you already know everything, DON'T ask bloody questions!!
Thanks guys
I spent yesterday morning cutting and felling trees so by the afternoon I couldn't be bothered clambering under my truck to mess with diff oil so the job still awaits me.
The locker has been working great until just a couple of weeks ago, clicks more on and off road now.
I'll pull it out to check things in there. Any parts I should have on hand? I am also going to be replacing the pinion seals (have them) and of course diff oil (have that) any other gaskets etc I should have on hand? Is there a gasket that should be replaced between the diff head and housing?
