I'd be keen on a 12,000 lbs Hydralic winch. If some one can tell me exactly how much I`ll confirm and transfer the money into Mikes account.

This website probably provides most information on these winches. At least this ones lists what line speeds and amp draws would be.

I have just had my order confirmed from the winch man EW12000lbs with no wire and wireless remote, He said about three weeks by ship

Runva will not deal with you direct as they have a sole agent in NZ, I tried that.

Keep you posted

9500lbs 12V $180 24V $192
10000lbs 12V $180 24V $192
12000lbs 12V $192 24V $205

Are those prices for winches with no wires? I am happy with no wire as I do want to run synthetic rope (less weight on the front end). It would be good to get some clarity as to what is included in that price (winch, cables, remote and wireless remote) and whats not (like steel wire and fairlead may be).

I have been on to so many winch sites I'm starting to lose track,

The prices I quoted are from SiChuan Machinery Imp. & Exp. Corp.

You have the email address I posted it early-er

Here's another that has replyed http://www.sino-tractor.com . interesting web site and around the 200 us mark

For what its worth, And I know stuff all, A while ago I happened on to a web site that rated companys in China and the one that I'm dealing buying my winch info@greatwinch.com came up with a B-plus and the winch I am buying will cost about $400 NZ landed and they have everthing electric and hyd. and they will do bulk deals.

The one thing that sold me was the EW12000 winch I am buying dose not normally have cordless remote but he has wangled it through the factroy to have the cordless included and yes its only $10 us cheaper with no wire

anyway I will know in six weeks

Well, I ticked the not interested box.....But the way those prices are dropping makes me stand up somewhat....

A firm price on a waterproof 10-12k pounder would be super...

As some of may know I have deceided to put in a bulk order to those that are interested.

I have just got some feed back from the man I deal with in China, I think this came back because I gave him the earl for this web-site, To let him see the interest we have in 4wding here in NZ.

He warned me against buying the hyd. winch , He sells them but he said he would not buy one as they are having too much problems with seals etc.

In his opion the best wich produced in China is the EW model it has been well proven and is still being updated.

And for $225 US plus $16 for cordless remote plus $ 80 approx for shipping for a 12000lbs 24V or 12V landed in NZ that works out to be about 400 NZ

He is still happy to sell the BSW winch but in his opion the EW is still the best today projuced in china.

Minefield,
Please put my name down for one of those 12000lb waterproof electric ones as well then. Still haven't heard back from Runva so it is quite possible that since they now have a dealer here in NZ they are no longer interested in dealing with little men wanting to buy 1 winch, or they lost faith in me after I had to back out of my last deal.
And your comments from your man in China re leaking seals in the hydraulic ones is not very encouraging either, plus I could buy two of these electric ones for the price of one hydraulic, or buy one electric winch and fit 30+ metres of fancy plasma rope (which I think I will do) and still have change in my pocket.
Wonder if those guys from 4wdbits.co.nz who are on here are keen on doing a bulk deal on plasma rope??
Anyway email addy below:

I'll have to pass this time. I have thought about it hard and this is extremely tempting, but my luck in the past with cheaper alternatives has normally meant my ending up spending twice as much in the end.

So good luck to everybody who is buying this. I'll keep saving for a Superwinch EPI 9.0 or Warn 9.5ti.

Hey mate,

As per my email. How much for the BSW12000?

Is that still $250USD landed? When I was looking at ordering at the end of last month they were $250 including shipping to NZ (I was dealing will Bill @ greatwinch.com). However GST & Custom Broker fee was payable on top.

Just working that out on todays rates and it is $330.73 per winch + GST = $372.07 plus a share of the custom broker fee (at approx $8-10 per person based on only 10 winches)??

=$382.07 all up for the BSW12000.

Then local shipping (if pickup wasnt an option) would be on top?

Is that $80 per winch?

So for 20 Winches to be shipped they want $1600USD?!?!?!?

I can organize for alot less i believe. Just need to get to my work email on Monday to confirm.

However if this is an option I would still like for the ORE association bank account to collect the money as a safe guard for the members on the site.

Also we need to think about insurance. Cost of insurance would be approx $200-$250NZD. But this could be a good safe guard on the winches turning up in little pieces if a container was dropped or mishandled enroute or even worse if the winches did not turn up.
