yes a traction aid is generally a diff lock. however, rokhound has mentioned this if you are going upstream from the camping ground. i beleive this trip is heading down stream?

and with the number of vehicles going youd have no trouble at all. :)

Many thanks for your information - have never been on a club or organised trip before. I have not voted on the poll as I have not been in this area before either.

It's an A frame SJ410, fairly std, 2" body lift, snorkel, rated tow hooks front & back, std 1L engine, no roof, boiler tube roll bar. Thanks - Tony.

Dont worry about the poll!

You will have to A Frame it to the Belfast pub and then some one going on this trip will have to tow it up to the George and then from where we pop out of the river back to belfast

CAN ANYONE HELP OUT KIWITONITA WITH THIS PROBLEM

Thanks very much for the offer to help towing - I'm quite happy though to arrange for 2 vehicles to go, leaving one at the downstream end or just take a bicycle in the back as it's about 20km back to the start point. On the other hand if any other A frame vehicles are going we can simply turn around and go back up the river :D . But a tow from Belfast would be simple and I'd help with fuel of course. Thanks - Tony.
