my 9500lb winch is from china and ive never had a problem ( although the solinoids have just gone, after a year and a bit of drowning, getting it caked in mud and putting hugh strain on it most times i went out)

so for under 400 bucks its worth the risk.

mark and graham, i too think your doing a great job, thanks heaps.
also stinky, your help is not going unnoticed

I too think the M&G tax is fully justified and am happy to pay.
Also I could do the Picton - Chch run with work ute if that suits.

You talk about waterproof , Warn winches are not,

Mine works just fine under a foot of water. In the south island, winches are always under water and my warn pulls big loads all the time, even under water.

It Closes to night,

I think I have spent every night for the last week on the computer pleased to have a break.

We have 24 on the list, Not having much luck with the sythetic rope, My man in China said that the sythetic rope made in China as yet is not a good quailty but I am on a site in Japan and am waiting for a reply

I will be sending the order off on Friday I should get a reply mid next week,, Keep you informed

I will get possible mid to late next a total price if I agree on the price I will email everyone for payment that will possible late next week could even later, I then have to pay 30% on invoice and the ballance on siting of the loading docket, Remember I have winches with and with out wire rope all this will take time to assemble they are like any big parts supplyer they dont carry a lot of winches in stock they will have to be ordered to how we want them.
I dont think we have any problems

Hi All,

We have been offered a very special promotional offer by Runva The largest winch manufacture in china.
"This has nothing to do with the runva dealer in Auckland"

I think this came about by the order I was complying, I think some how the word got out, As Runva is trying to estabilish it self a name in NZ in order for us to buy of them they have come up with a very special promotional "ONE OFF DEAL"There very latest EWX 12000lbs with cordless remote $ 550 NZ this has a 7.5 hp motor and 206.1 gear ratio that means very powerful and very fast they also the 10000lbs for $525 with a cordless remote and there is a 8000lbs model and with a 12 months warranty and parts avalible in Auckland.

Mark also agrees with me its too good to pass up and with no import problems

I emailed 12 at random off the list and all but one said go with Runva
So Runva it is !!!

I will be supplying Runva warehouse with the list of names and any others that with to come aboard as now the time is extended until tuesday as he wants the list asap, He also said he may have order more stock in to meet the order.

this has come from a simple thread and beceause of that hopefully we all will get a cheap winch

cheers

Graham

mike wrote:Think I'll wait and see now how this order turns out and how many/if any of the winches have defects as I've sen a lot of product come in from china and fail because of bad quality from the last place i used to work.

If it all turns out ok I'm wondering how much interest there would be for another order later on?

Mike

I hate, and i mean really hate missing out on a good thing, but i really need some decent tyres and a lift kit before a winch

I would really be keen on coming in on a 2nd order next year if these turn out to be mint
Got a Daihatsu Something, hasn't got a Daihatsu engine.... or diffs.... and it doesn't have windows.... or doors.... but its got tyres.... :)

Hi im not being picky or anything but are these runva winches waterproof and from the info i can find only the 24volt one has the 7.5 hp motor. Im not entirly sure that the convenince of a nz supplyer is worth an extra $200 to me.

I dont wanna sound like a sale's rep. But

Dude just the safety factor of a NZ distributor is worth the extra loot (sold Me) let alone the fact he is wanting to supply (at close to if not cost) 20-30 winches to bunch of 4x4 fanatics who will use & abuse them

Let alone the ease of no importing. no dealing across country's It's just sooooo much better & worth every cent

I have orderd the 10'000lb one

& from what i have seen & read the runva is the better..

I brought one of the guy who sells them on trademe, there was a problem with the solinoids, he posted a new controller before he received the faulty part back. The advantage with using a local guy is in the back up service and replacement parts.

The winch had its first workout on the weekend, was pulling like a schoolboy, I think I neew more agressive tyres

Hi Graham, I haven't heard from this guy. Is he going to email us all individually? Or are we supposed to be contacting him to confirm we still want to proceed with winch purchase order confirmed to you previously?
