well i finally unwrapped the v8 this weekend an started pulling the covers etc off to get to the timing belt when i noticed a dint in the sump..oh yea bugger o well carry on.

bit later got down an had a proper look an the dint is big, AND some lil japanese man has quickmetal all over the block and sump over the bolts to undo the sump etc. also noticed the electrode in the right hand side dizzy has been smashed off so hmm..
I rang the block today and told him, i dont wanna go chipping it off and finding the block has a crack or whatever an the sump needs replacing so hes taking it back, he apologized plenty and said, ill give your muney back, you keep the trans an in 3 weeks im heading over to japan, ill find you a new engine thats minter, with full loom and ecu and everything i need for the same price as i paid just for the motor an trans. Im stoked, well kinda..pain in the ass gotta wrap in all up an yea but you get that. So shes on hold now, gotta wait bout 6 weeks

Well gives me plenty time to get more shit sorted.

well is been abit longer than 5 weeks..
but just heard back from my V8 guy and hes got some in NZ!! ive seen afew photos of the lexus 8 but hes getting more in 3 weeks so gunna wait till then and send me more picks an info. then outta the lot i get to pick the best of them for the same price as i paid originally but this time they have a full loom and ecu etc just for the fact that hes a good bugger but held me up and the orginal engine i had was f***d.

Ohh and if anyone hears of a LN130 rolling chassis in the lower south island id be keen to hear from them.

Thanks
Ryan.

I second that! (Yes it appears as though I have entered into a race with Niblik to see who can take the longest to finish their truck - First to finish LOOSES!)

well..thought id replace brake pads and put new shockies in her on saturday.
That turned into unseizing a piston in the caliper, rekitting it an also replacing the wheel bearings on the drivers side. Thats all good and fine but you try and find a shop open (let alone one with the bits ya need) on a long weekend!! so what was going to a couple hours worth of work turned into a day!! drives like a new truck now :D
