hey, just checking, if you lift both wheels off the ground with an LSD setup, and spin 1 wheel, the other should spin in the same direction and put up reasonable resistance??
and with the open diffs if both wheels are off the ground the oposite will spin the other way??

hey vince,
i sent you a PM the other day. I see in your signature there that you want to supercharge your truck. I was just asking how you were going about it, ie where you got the parts and things from, any other mods that had to be done to the engine?? or is it as simple as bolting on a turbo??
cheers, gary

hello gary
did not recieve your pm, but never mind,i have a super charger off a toyota MR2 , it runs on standard v belts was going to put it where the aircon is as i dont use it,i am still 50/50 on what to do at the moment, would like to do a clutch type system where i can turn the charger off when doing 100km down the road as its not needed ,and flick it on just before you drive into a mud hole, it will be a learning curve for me as never used a charger before or fitted one,all my other road cars had turbos, still might put a turbo on instead,

A question someone may be able to answer, I started this thread looking for a lsd, Now i'm not so sure that I dont have one.
To start with my Terrano has a lsd and if you jack up one rear wheel and leave the other on the ground the one jacked up is almost inpossible to turn.
talking to a freind today and rechecking my sarfari just now there is a small resestance it appears to hold and then let go , I have been told that the wrong oil will do that, We have a empty section next door so I tried my s/w and droped the cluch on wet grass only one wheel spin yet with safari both wheels letf there mark.
I know with my s/w jack one whel up with the other on the ground and it turns realy freely
Is there any sure way to tell

I wasnt sure with mine, when I looked again, there was a sticker on the diff which had been painted black. Peeled the paint off, and it said LSD oil.
Bit O/T but do you still want to see the geabox spacers? Might be able to pop through 2moro arvo, if you do, just pm your address again, cant remember the number
