Wrecking LN61 Hilux Surf

Post by muddy_munke »

Have got me an LN61 Hilux Surf for parts for my build. If anyone wants anything just ask and I'll let you know if its still there or in what condition etc. I am using the wider front hubs, the wider rear axle, the gearbox, the windscreen and maybe a few other bits. But most stuff is there still.

Cheers Daniel

Pulled the turbo off. It's a bit stuffed. Seems shaft is bent as is tight and then goes a bit loser. Still have it though. My mate wants it as a mantle piece item but if you want it to fix it?? manifolds are still there. Make an offer

Tim you need the turbo and manifolds of the later 2l-t motor as the exhaust manifolds are different on the earlier motor and don't line up to the 2.8.
You will want to get the complete thermostat housing too. and the metal water pipes that run from the front of the motor over the exhaust manifold to the heater lines. These make it a lot easier to plumb up the water lines to/from the turbo.

The whole roof is there. looks good as gold. could do with a paint though. Have window sliders etc for the front, have been taken out and front sliding glass removed. But sliders frame and rear sliding window is there still. Just need to be put back in. $100 too much??

Make an offer then. Keen to get rid of anything as ill be scrapping the whole truck this weekend. Yeah, there is one of the two windows from each side. so out of the six windows in total on the canopy, there is only four left. the two that are fixed right at the back are still there.
