I'm into anything RC. (I also have a heli and a boat) So one time i put a cam corder on the top of one the 4x4 rc car. Just for a laugh. The rc car was powered by a .25 till I popped it (running it to lean) so I repowered it with a grunty a .28 . It's top speed was pretty slow (by RC standards) only around 80k. The revs it's doing at that speed are approx 40,000rpm. I'm glad no one was parking their car at the time.
My setup had to versions. One on-road setup and one off-road setup. Same rc car. All I had to do was change the body shell, suspension hight, wheels and adjust the gear change in to second. Later gear shift for on road.
This is another RC Cam view. But this time I happened to popped the engine. Learning the hard way again. Had it running to lean. Sorry it's not edited.
If you watch carefully you'll notice i almost had it run over by a logging truck (pause at 46 seconds) but turned hard left. I was going to travel right across to the otherside of the road, going right in the path of the truck.
u can really feel the speed when u have the cam mounted like that eh!
Yeah it was it a bit of laugh watching the play back. I must say, drving with the camera on i was freaking a couple of times, coz the camera was worth about the same as the RC setup.
I should really get on and finish the plane I am building. Its just a basic Cadet but I wanted something simple to start with. I have all the bits, motor (.45 I think), radio unit etc and a half finished plane. The cars look more fun though!
