Newbie: Hilux owner in Dunedin

Post by Seth »

Hi everyone, Im Seth from Dunedin. Im 22 and have owned hilux's since I got my licence 7 years ago(with no plans to get anything else!) I currently drive a 2004 double cab with the trusty 3.0TD engine. So far its got a TJM winch bar, Ironman 9500lb winch, 32x11.5 Wrangler mudders, and the all basics. Future plans are a suspension upgrade and a difflock, on board compressor and a decent inverter(advice wanted) Ive just joined a 4wd club and I want to learn as much as I can about hiluxs and 4wding:) I just discovered ORE yesterday and I cant believe I havent come across it before, what an awesome site!

Hows it going Seth - Sounds like a nice truck you have there. I'm in Dunedin as well, so might have to do a trip sometime. What club did you join?

Cheers

Hey mate. Millsy from Student Cars here. I was talking to you at BP the other day whilst in my flatdeck Landcruiser. Saw your hilux outside vasity whilst dropping Timotheus off today I think. Looks a bit too shiny to be taking into the tough stuff, but you'll soon fix that.

Um, yeah, fair point that one. It hasn't seen much aside a few Southland back roads during my ownership. Will be offered for sale soon, so probably won't see the mud at all I'm afraid.
