hi guys,

as above. i need the passengers side steering knuckle off of a ln106 solid front axle hilux. ive stripped the thread that holds the caliper on :oops: , and im not paying $160 odd bucks for a helicoil!

so can anyone out there help me out? :wink:

Drill and Tap the thread to take the next size bolt, you will then have to run the drill size for the bolt through the calliper. If you need drills and Taps give me a call.

Yeah I have one off a solid axle surf, pretty sure they're the same, the only difference is the callipers and rotors, the knuckle is the same :scratch:

thanks for that fitzy! i spoke to guy at blacks about the helicoil thing i suggested that to him but he reckons that its not a good idea to drill the caliper out as there wont be so much holding it in place? thoughts anyone?

its free if you want it, can pick up tonight from me at work if ya want, hell we could always put it on whle you're there :D
let me know, i'm at work from 6pm and knuckle is there :wink:

thanks for that tim :D unfortinatly i cant drive the truck with the caliper hanging off! but ill give you a ring today to organise a time.
