How do i replace front diff on 2001 ford courier/mazda b2500

Post by rwc »

Hi there, Ive just crack the front diff today in my ford courier ute.
I have managed to get one from a wrecker and was wondering if anyone has any tips for me on how to replace them.
Im sure it cant be too hard but is always good to get a bit of advice before starting something like this.
Look forward to replys
cheers

Make sure the ratio is the same first.

Undo all the driveshaft type bolts whilst the vehicle is on the ground with the wheels still on.

Replace the fluid in the new diff before you fire it up.

Should be pretty straight forward, axle and driveshaft bolts and then a few subframe bolts and it should come out.

Hopefully someone with Courier experience will post.

Matt.
