Trail Gear parts avaliable in NZ!!

Post by Jafa »

Well its official, SNR is now the NZ agent for TrailGear 4wd bits 8) 8)

Have a look on the TG site and pm me anything you are keen on. I intend to put in an order on Wed next week. No idea on pricing yet, but estimate it will be around twice the US price in NZD. ie if its $200 USD on their site, it will be approx $400 NZD here.

Heres a link to the website http://www.trail-gear.com/

Order up a storm!!
'85 Hilux crawler, 3rz, duals, 4.7's, 4.88's, ARB's, 30 spline Longfields, 6 stud SNR4x4 Histeer, Airshocks up front, coiled rear, 40" Iroks.

Yes they do, mass produced forged arms, not nice CNC billet machined ones like our ones    , we'll not be stocking RHD arms until our SNR ones are sold, but that wont be long, we have only 3 sets left I think

Cheers

Pick away mate
We'll not be stocking TG RHD arms until our SNR ones are sold
After that you will have a choice, either billet steel SNR ones(probably made to order), or forged TG ones(off the shelf)

We hope to be making a run of six stud RHD arms also 8)

Hey Jafa, can you get them to expand their selection of Jeep parts. Do they do a steering box plate for RHDs?

Already deal with someone else that carries them, just thought I would throw that one at Jafa see if his supplier may pick them up with the interest, rather than name the crowd I have used, being that this is his thread

And you have purchased and used both brands?

If not, then I suggest you STFU!

We have a local guy here who is putting his balls and wallet on the line to bring in cool US manufactured gear to NZ. He deserves our full support, and already has my first order!

GOOD ON YA JAFA, and I hope this new venture is both enjoyable and profitable for you :D :D :D :D

I agree with Roc, Jaffa has looked into who will supply to him in NZ and has enough equiptment and good quality.

As far as doing the dirty I heard they both developed the product together and TG had them manufactured, there was a falling out and that other group went to court to apply for exclusive rights by getting a patient in only their name.

The only option was to selling them before a patent was issued (existing products cannot get a patient). there are two sides to every story the truth is somewhere in the middle probibly.

I will buy stuff through Jaffa just because it is easier and he will have any warranty claim if you want ask Jaffa to build what you want or get it in yourself, noone is stopping you.

I Got this from TG and am absolutely stoked with it and their service
http://www.offroadexpress.co.nz/modules ... pic&t=7959
Also The Marlin crawler I got came with free beanies and stickers....
So I guess having purchased from both manufacturers and have their products in use on my truck means I can comment

I say this is a excellent step for NZ, and thanks to Jafa for taking the trouble to organise, I would recommend TG products as well as Marlin, we now have TG available in NZ and that is where I will spend my money, and advise others to support whats available now in NZ and not get involved in petty politics that is of no concern to us way down here

This is the first and only time I'll comment on the Marlin v TG saga. Basically I dont really care what happened in the past between those two companies, all I'm interested in is supplying the NZ 4wd community with access to reasonably priced parts that are otherwise difficult and expensive to get into NZ. Even on Pirate, where most of the slanging went on, bring that topic up again, and most people say "give it a rest already". So lets not start that whole thing all over again, especially when the only onfo about it is posted on a couple of forums, we all know how much bullshit can be posted on those, dont we?. Cant be taken as an accurate source of information.
As far as quality goes, I have a few TG parts myself, and there are plenty of others in NZ with them and I've heard no complaints. If anything is not right, TG are happy to replace.

Cheers
Jafa
