We won't believe a word of what you have said without pictures to support your case. Come on, show us your handy work.

shit - ok then TJ...... can you all please dampen your raucous mirth to a gleeful twitter and allow me some dignity......

so the idea is that the brackets slot over the end of the chassis, and use the same mounting holes at the stock bar. the top of each bracket will have a flange running onto the horizontal member of the bar, and from the bottom hoop there will be flanges running to the bottom of the horizontal. the former reinforces either side back to the chassis, the latter covers the bracket from view and looks cool. Might yet mesh the bottom hoop too. both hoops are angled to protrude just beyond the fairlead. The entry angle will be cut down, but not by an enormous amount.

Here's the angle it should sit on once mounted:

looks like a dead mouse in there...

For my weekend I fitted my rear tow hooks. Never been satisfied with the setup it had. Also modded a few wee things that needed tidying up. Didn't do anything on the diffs as they aren't back here yet. Spent the afternoon working on the tractor and a bit of assisting bro with his pepped up mini project which is nearing completion.

Did a CLROC run into Lake Daniel's/Thompson's Flat. Went in as a nuight trip friday nite, awesome. Drove back out for breakfast to meet the rest of the group on saturday morning then a slow run back in. Did the flat with four other trucks on saturday, nearly rolled twice. Big self recovery at the end of the flat as the truck was sitting on its arse pointing up at 85 degrees, double line pull but gotr it all done. Three cv's broken, two alternators killed, u-bolts broken, 8 trucks with wet carpets and plenty of piss drinking. great trip.

Note: one of the broken alternators was mine.

I've been told that's a great trip. Want to do it some time. The dent in my truck is from in there some where - by the previous owner.
