sj413 idle problems

I think I found the air leak today. On the joint between the carb and the intake manifold. I sprayed crc on the joint with the engine running and the revs increased. Problem is I just replaced the gasket the other day while trying to eliminate the problem and so it shouldn't be leaking. I thought I cleaned it up pretty good before I fitted it too. Anyway I'll do it again and hopefully have more luck. Might use the whole intake manifold off my spare motor just in case its something random like a hairline crack in the manifold. Can anyone recomend a liquid type gasket to use with paper gaskets?

The only sealant I'd even think about using on such a place is that copper stuff you get in a spray can. Others tend to cause more trouble than they are worth. Make sure you are torquing the joint within factory specs - too loose or too tight and the gasket will fail.
