Time for a back on topic post.

Mounted the snorkel to the inner guard, so I can line up the bracket to be welded on to attach it to the pillar.

Then a very last minute impromptu trip up worsleys, which ended up with about 8-10 of us up there at the same time  8)

Have you done a bit offroading in the states NJV6? - would be keen to hear your experiences as I'm heading over to the US at some stage next year and I'm extremely keen to do a bit of offroading while I'm there.

Cheers

Yep, was with Easter Jeep Jambore during 2003

Most of my photo's are film but I have a few low quality one's here for a entree

I only spent time in Moab - we were not allowed up the lions back, it was closed at the time. I was itching to go up.

No no, i realised just how poor Jeeps were :P

So I bought something modern with almost as good an off roading engine that sounds better, rides better, almost as good suspension travel etc etc... :P Just having ya on but I will say the standard TJ disappointed me.

To be honest I wanted a TJ after I came home but it was out of my price range  But XJ's do nothing for me at all

Moab is a great place, I spent a whole year back in 1977 living there as a 17 year old. I was fortunatate to travel on a Rotary Youth Exchange, the first family I stayed with owned the Slickrock campground on the north edge of Moab, they got me a ride in the Easter safari in a jeep with a Buick V6 in it. Great day out, back then Easter Safari was just one day.
I had many trips out into the slick rock, desert and up the mountains.
The La Sal mountains south of Moab are actually slightly higher than Mt Cook, one day a group of us drove to about 11,000' and walked to the top, ate lunch enjoying the view and drove back home. You wouldn't do that with Mt Cook.
Unfortunately all my photos are slides and I don't have any way of getting those onto the 'puter.

And yes, that is where my interest in Jeep's came from

Cheers
