Site maintenance

Post by mike »

Hi All,

Just doing some maintenance on the shop and have removed CC as a payment option while I'm fixing a few things in the shop.

Should be back within a couple of days.

Hi Mike,
Comment on the site Home Page.
Having the static list of 20 latest topics is much better than the previous scrolling list, but would be good if the list number was increased to perhaps 30 or even 40, as I have found that with lots of people posting some of the topics I am interested in disappear of the bottom of the list within 24 hours.
Anyone else think the number should be increased.

Keep up the great work Mike and his helpers.

Thanks
Tim

If you only get to see the site once a day, some topic's have been and gone.
Personlly I would prefer to see it go back to the old style. was easier to follow

I agree with Old Blue, although 40 posts might be alright.

Whatever, keep up the good work Mike!

'New Posts' works fine if you have time to look at ALL you want to each time you log in.

However for me, I get fleeting moments whilst working to see & read stuff here. This means I am logging in several times per day for a couple of minutes and each time you log off the "New Posts" empties itself.

What happens then is the next time I log on I miss half the stuff I want to troll through as 'New posts' assumes that I have already read it.

Go back to the old system I say

The old system was no better? Still had the same number of posts, just in a bloody annoying scroller that you always missed getting the post you wanted and had to wait for it to come back around anyway...

I'd like to see the posts maybe with 10 more, but with a little more post info on each topic (ie: last poster, topic section its in, etc).

Having said that, I wouldn't like to see Mike waste his precious time doing that if he's working on the new site... or the Hilux... or the Landy... or the high score on that cool PS3 truck racing game :)

Mike has a hilux??

on the site thing. I would like it if whoever starts a thread could edit it and delete posts. Might help get rid of all the crap in tech threads. Just a thought.
