Had a very long and pretty boring weekend. Worked on the series one for the whole time. I was REALLY hoping to have gone into rallywoods and 10hr track, but just ran out of time. And the motors playing up now. Its overfueling I think. Will try a new set of plugs and see if it helps. Its running like a bag of absolute shit.

Does drive though.

Image

Heres a vid, sounds like an outboard motor  Can anyone offer a suggestion as to why its running so bad. Its a holden 202 efi. Ive tried changing the afm and comp.

yep. Firing orders all good.

Once you clean the plugs, then bang em back in, it sounds fine for a few secs then runs badly again. Ill bang some new plugs in it and check the timing.

Spent all weekend recovering from food poisoning gotten from bad Chicken at Mercer Mobil.

Started cleaning the workshop to make a hole for Project, still feeling like a bag of shit.

Thought #### it and put my feet up with a coffee. There's always next weekend!

on saterday i went and got the new but old land rover. i found out that the back half of the roof has been cut off.

And the chassis dosen't look to bad and i ddnt seem to find much rust apart from the rust on the diff and leaves.

But i didn't get a proper inspection.

The motor runs like shite. the fulla i baught it off thinks one of the valves ant shutting properly so its smoking like ass! and the diesel is getting pushed up frue the valves and back frue the motor again.

So next time i go down to my dads work i will be taken that old 6cyl deisel apart and try to fix it.

But befor i do that i am going to do the shite i need to do on the surf!

Well, this weekend I had lots of 'entertainment'. I live on a farm and so I was working with our landlords yesterday drenching cattle and giving calves their booster needles.

After that, we had to shift a bull from the yards to his paddock and wow, did we have some fun! He decided to go his own way and we chased him around in a couple of paddocks before we got him to where we wanted him. Lol...as we were bringing him up the laneway there is a deepish ditch of water that there is a bridge over. He decided to go through it and of course, the landcruiser ute went right in after him and got bogged!!! It was so funny. I wasn't in it but I was on a bike. Course, the cruiser didn't have his 4x4 locked in so couldn't go anywhere! Got the bull back in the padock after much sweating and puffing and a bit of encouragement from the bullbar!! :D

I guess that's what the bullbar is for! Photo's of the stuck cruiser? or was it too high stress to be taking photos?
Sold my 1985, BJ74 MWB Landcruiser, rear locker, 33" MTs, snorkel, PTO winch, solid bars all round, spotties, AM CB etc.
Now just a 1994, 1kz Surf, pretty standard.

Well, I did think of that but didn't have a camera with me. I was most upset 'cause I wanted some photos of that! Missed out sorry! :D

So why didn't ya bring the 40 out to Minginui ya slacker?

We had a bit of fun, did some exploring & opened up an old track to a hell hillclimb that beat us a few years back. Still had to winch a bit though. I think I need a longer wheelbase or a locker. A few beers, spit roasted lamb, mmmm...

Cheers

Friday, got the last bracket welded onto the snorkel, Saturday, Checked out suits for the upcoming nuptials, got flexi pipe to join snorkel to air filter, Sunday, Up at midnight to go to work, then found I was motivated when I got home, so sorted out the whitebaiting gear, and headed for the river (Selwyn Huts), found out the hard way there is no bait there at the moment
So still motivated came home and picked up the family, and headed to the Waimak to sus out some possible spots, found a free one so decided to do some blind dipping (river was milky and rough) :!:
Got one small shoal, so put the whiteboard in and picked up another two small shoals.
It was past the tide by this time, so was only there foe about an hour.
Knackered by Sun night :!: :!:

Oh, and Kiwigirldiv made the xmas cake on Sunday morning as well :D
