yep.. just use it as is bud.. you'd be surprised where the old landies will take ya.. just try chuckin some ok treads on it and see how it fares.. that way you'll save money etc.

p.s.. lovin the carpeted front bonnet look.. just unbolt the rook and ya got the open top shoot em up mobile..

for that price, ya cant go too far wrong.. as long as it all works sorta all right that is..

i got some parabolic springs for that thing if ya wanna part out the standard springs.. Image

anyways, as you were..

Looks like a good deal for $250. Just be weary that the rear halfshafts arent too strong unless its a salisbury.

Nibbys parabolics give a bit of a lift, and are a much nicer ride, and carry the load better. Too high for him though.

And yeah, land rovers are cool.

it was going to be a 4wd gocart with a car motor and drive train and all that shite. ive got some pictures off how it was wen i started making it

But it still ant finished because aparently my mum controls what i do and wen i do it!

But im not sure if i should make it a meen looking go cart or keep it how it is now just mod it a little or i could just dich the cab and use the chassis as the go cart. . . what do you guys think?

well i went and picked up the rover on saterday the back part of the roof has been cut off and it smokes like shite!!!.

And it revs on its own we think its because one of the valves are stuck open so we tryed to get it on the trailer but it ran out of deisel wen we were driveing it up the ramp onto the trailer.

the body isnt actuly that bad but i don't know if it will ever be on the road again.

the wheels on it ant to bad but im prity sure the rover stud patern is diffrent to every other truck ive seen so yea.

is there anything els i need to know about the rover?? like where there is normaly rust and what could be the problem with the engine?? im not sure what motor it is but its a nissan 6 cyl diesel. and anything that would help me out thanks.

The revving engine might be because it is feeding on its own crank case oil, just a thought as it was mentioned that it smokes somewhat.

Start with the simple stuff.

Disconnect the crank case breather hose that comes out of the rocker cover (should be a black hose that comes out of the side of the blue cover ontop of the engine)

Its more than likely leaking/dribbling injectors.

When the engine is cold, it will blow a nasty eye stinging dark blue smoke, and may cough and splutter and chug. As the engine warms up, the smoke may decrease and the engine idle speed increase as the engine heat will be alowing the extra diesel dribbling out of the injectors during the other three strokes to be burnt properly.

Throw 5L of diesel and a whole bottle of injector cleaner at it plus a new fuel filter, disconnect the crank case breather and take it for a good run up the road if you dare. It may be that it has sat around for so long that the injectors are sticking.

Or its just farked

The LD28 is a good strong work horse, stick with it!!!
