I havent done a 13bt befor but i would say first find out the torque setings and the order in witch to tighten the head bolts. Then set your torque wrench and go for it.

I just had a look in my manual about installation of a cylinder head, there are 18 bolts to be tightened in a particular order at 118Nm and then another 9 at 18Nm. I might be able to scan this tomorrow if it helps any.

Heads are normally tightened from the middle out alternating side to side.
Sold my 1985, BJ74 MWB Landcruiser, rear locker, 33" MTs, snorkel, PTO winch, solid bars all round, spotties, AM CB etc.
Now just a 1994, 1kz Surf, pretty standard.

I know they did it with the copper gaskets, not so sure on the more modern ones.

That van I had I tightened it after a while and it eliminated a slight leak it had...
