ok got the motor running tonite!!! having a few issues with the starter but should sort them out in time, tried to mount a vitara radiator but its way to high for the 413 so stuck with the original, and the electrics worked out easy as so very happy, couldnt find a altinator so if anyone knows aof an alt out of a g16a carbed motor it would be helpful, got to get new heater hose tomorrow then all the plumbing is done...
Image

then i decided to have a crack at making an exhaust because i had some 2 1/2 inch tube at home....dont know if its a good idea or not but ill give it a go...

That's looking like a hell-fun truck. You probably already know this, but while you're messing about with the exhaust, I suggest you ditch the factory manifold and get extractors on there. All the horror-stories about G16 heads relate to exhaust manifold degradation. Apart from that, you get the obvious advantage of better performance.

just pulled rear diff tonight so the locker can go in, and pulled rear brakes apart and cosidering its only been used
a couple of times since i put new rear shoes in, its absolutly choca with rallywoods mud so they will have a tidy up at the same time.........have also made a recovery box and bolted it in to the rear floor(very quickly running out of room!!!!)
hopefully do the clutch tomorrow night.....
