Me and Steve heve found the front locker can cause more problems than it can solve. In one comp we blew 4 cv's and that was only the first 2 days out of 4, since then we have barely used it. A winch is alot quicker than replacing a cv. You'll get the hang of it
Can someone tell me more about this truck
What size V8 is he running (I gather its a V8 from the twin snorkles) and what size tyres and suspesion and any other mods
Its NOT a whale !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more like a large seal

Dion will correct me if im wrong but it isn't legal for winch challenges unless he puts a new cage on it. (doesnt comply with ORANZ or MANZ)
Bloody nice truck though!
had a talk to steve on satarday , he will check dates for feb for another day there for us ,more northern guys attending would be great will post a date as soon as i know.
Hi Chris,, Maybe you could get Russels number off Monstr (Steve) and organize a day up there.I havn't been there for ages so would try to come up for a play. Wayne
Hi ,I can organize a run into the Extreme park but it would have to be after the 6/7th of Sept as im doing the Northland winch challenge then,We could try for either the 14th or 21st of Sept if there was enough interest ,cant do it before as we have club runs every weekend prior to that ,hopefully it would of dried out by then as we were in there on Sunday and it was like driving on ice ,even had one Surf parked up in gear with handbake on take off with nobody in it do a 60mtr slide and ended up buried in the trees.but was all good fun..Steve
Yea thought about doing the run on the 24th but our club is doing a night run on the 23rd in Woodhill never know if i manage to get myself totaly lost i might still be stuck in there somewhere when you guys come through

Parts were insanely wet, and the Surf required a winch challenge truck + three anchor trucks to recover it... and even then they were all sliding slowly towards the Surf at one point.
