Could anybody please point me in the right direction on where to buy a high lift kit for the old girl? (Mitsubishi J57 SWB '86 Jeep)
Many thanks

Mitsubishi J57 SWB Question
Unless you know what suspension they used (custom for that truck, borrowed from a SWB Paj, something out of the Willys factory, etc) then it probably going to be a custom fit job, or replace the springs with something close that works...
I don't have anything in my listings for them, but depending how far you want to go with it then you should be able to make something fit that will give you good articulation and height. I'm happy to take a look sometime and make some suggestions if you're in Chch.

Hi Steve
Thanks for that. I am in Auckland. I would guess its out of the Willys factory as the Japs modelled the J57 of the CJ, or thats what I could gather off the Net.

I wouldn't mind betting they are the same underneath as the CJ3-A 'Jeep'. There is a chap on here MahindraCJ4A I think he goes by the name of who is modding one.
Thanks! After a lot of research on the net last night I established that Mitsubishi built the J50 to J57 series based on the CJ3-B, so well spotted!
Next step: Where in Auckland could one find body lift kits for a CJ3-B, please?
If it is based on an old Jeep it might be quite had to do a body lift. Have you had a look under at where the body is mounted to the chassis? Due to it's meccano (sp?) type building it may be quite a challange.
Why do you want to go up? Might be better off changing spings or the way its sprung.

SWB V6 Paj with one or two mods

Thanks for advice. I am only picking her up this weekend from Palmy so have not had a good look yet. Found a guy on Trademe selling his, and it looks good/lifted. I emailed him and he advised he has engineering works, and all he did was made up new shackles. Does this sound right? You can view it at http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =128404146
Many thanks
