OK, I have been in contact with the organiser, and have some details for all those interested.
Entry is on the day, no entry forms available before the event.
Course will consist of about 20 obstacles, typical mix of technical, and a couple of novelty, speed (not 100KPH stuff), and possibly a blindfolded, timed figure 8, so co pilot required + mud of course
The course is based on a river terrace, but there will be nothing in it that would require a snorkel.
Roughly 3 classes, but organisers, on the day, may choose to but you in which class they think best suits your vehicle (to make it as fair as possible)
Classes will be roughly
: STD Class= 31’s or smaller, no lockers (Basically road trucks)
: Modified = 33’s or lower one locker, could possibly stretch to two lockers.
: Unlimited/Open = usual rules here.
Trophy for first in each class, plus prize money for 1st, 2nd, and third, certificates for up to 7? Place.
Comp will start 10am, scrutineering will be between 8:30-9:30 on the day.
Entry fee is $30.00 on the day, it will be donated to the Mayfield School.
Usual rules for a mud plug, helmets, belts etc.
I have the venue details, which will be sign posted on the day, I will post a map soon.
If you have any questions you can contact the organiser (Tim Boyd) on 0274967301 working week number, or 03 3036280 weekends and evenings.

Best I can do for a map at the moment, I will see if I can do better, Google earth hasn't been past this bit lately, so its not good enough in this exact area to give good resolution.
This is just copied off Wises maps site.
Keep watching, and getting ready!

Oh and my cameraman friend is really keen to do more filming at this one for a follow up DVD to the Sheffield one

Awesome day out in the LR, few breakages but the only hindering one from a repair job on a shock that didnt really work as it failed on the first articulation!
Through the help of nibs, goose and lilpigzuk we got it all tied down and with no limitations from a shock we had the flex of roks and hirikluxs trucks
ok maybe half that
Highlight of the day: Hearing the marshal say that we were the only truck to get up a hazard including trials trucks/buggies
Had to prove later on with lilpigzuk that it wasnt a fluke
Low of the day: Knowing exactly what would happen in the mud hole to the old girl (loburn coming back to haunt) and guess what happened.... loburn all over again
I'll get that snorkel on!
Speed sections were the best ive driven in a 4x4 event (all 4 of them
) and the course was very well layed out with some quite narly hazards. Big ups to the organisers!
Thanks to goose for the repair strap, co-driving and the navi hand signals on the speed stage 2
Talked to the organiser and this is apparently a 2 year event. well worth entering!

A couple of my shots.....
Mike and his (lack of) Tools - yep river stones
The wayward Exhaust, oddly enough could hardly pick a exhaust note difference
Working the tie down and electric fence tape coil retainers
Getting Tippy
The coffee maker award ceremony
Got a vid of me and Mike drowing the landy in the mudhole, but need too work out how too compress vid
