mate wants to sell his gem, would be good club truck, has been parked up for ages and is a waste to keep it.beam axle surf lifted with rancho shocks all round 3 on each wheel.38.5/15/15 ground hog tyres on alloys, was 2.4 turbo but now is 3y petrol.the reg has died, goes good,$5000 ono vaughan
The bill you will walk out with is the in the range of $400-500
But in that you get a year's reg $200 ish) a wof $30ish, new plates $15ish and a couple of other things so the actual revinning is about $200 so its not too bad.
It is a bit different for different types of vehicles. I think commercials are a little different but they are not 100% sure on the rules themselves. Find out the facts yourself so you are armed when you go in. I had to fight a couple of things with them and had to be a little assertive for them to play by their own rules and common business practice.
Sold my 1985, BJ74 MWB Landcruiser, rear locker, 33" MTs, snorkel, PTO winch, solid bars all round, spotties, AM CB etc.
Now just a 1994, 1kz Surf, pretty standard.
I just looked into re-vining a Surf today and VTNZ told me the following...
$430 for compliance - if there are any issues that need remedying you have to get them sorted within 20 working days or you're up for another compliance fee!
Once complied you still have to cough up for rego...$452.04 for a diesel.
Being modded you'd be up for a cert too.
it is now $4000 and owner now tells me it is not dead but i will pin him down and find out for sure, ideal truck for you mainlanders for the rivers.
