I haven't had crabs in ages Jerry, flyspray does the trick  As for possums, I like the scratching but they clench to much, much prefer cats wrapped in gladwrap.

Oh and lets please keep this on topic  A little bit of banter is ok but....

Talking of off topic, Sadam any chance of you bringing that diff head out with you or do I need to come and get it out myself

Well if you are staying the night then the gate will be locked at 9am on Sunday and considering that everyone will be drinking :drunken: :puker: :drunken: :puker: it might be a late start :puker:

So exit will have to be via long gully (brooklyn) or up the karori stream access way (makara), let me know which is preferable and I will organise access (saddam prefers Makara obviously).

Be aware also that red rocks is a legal road and vehicles need to be road legal, if you enter or exit via the quarry carpark there have been regular checks.....I'm just saying in case you turn up and get a ticket etc blah blah.

Hey Jerry we are going in on Friday nite not Saturday so you don't have to worry. Has the key for Makara been sorted?

Please don't worry as Bubba has the other arrangements sorted.

PS. How high is your IQ - (bubba's is 136)

The above is a bunch of erroneous crap

Just turn up and drink piss, eat sandy sausages, tell lies and tall stories and most of all have fun

Remember Friday 7 Dec, meet about 5.30 at the car park

The council and the police enforce the quarry carpark occasionally (on saturdays usually), they have been stopping people on ungegistered bikes/quads/trucks....Red rocks is a legal road and enforcable as such FYI. if your vehicle is road legal you are ok.

Info is FYI only (if you get stopped and get a ticket bubba wil pay it for you )

You asked me to sort out a key earlier....I'm assuming you don't want/need this now

A few points to note

The most important is that it's Friday night!

2nd, The trip is all care not responsibility. If you get a ticket thats ok coz I will likely get one as well  If the cops are in the car park there are ways to bypass this situation8) and you can see them from a mile away on the way back so it's all good

If you decide to drive where you arn't meant to you risk being told to F-off home. We are guests of Tara's & Beer Cruisers so please treat the whole trip as if you are their guests

If you don't have hooks and you get stuck then you risk being handed a shovel or maybe having your bumper pulled off. If you keep to the track if in doubt and you will be fine

You will need the usual recovery tools strops SHOVEL(S) etc

Take lots of liquid refreshments including water, food for a couple of meals, snacks, more liquids refreshments, folding chairs maybe, sleeping bags, pillows, camera, load up on bullshit stories, insect repellent, chains saws, petrol diesel mix  and most of all chill relax and have fun

Jerry, Umm the key, not sure if it needed or not now. If you would like to go in and/or out that way then please post on here. I'm guessing Sadam at least would prefer to go that way

Finally to repeat myself for the final time, Except for those that wish to go though the Karori Stream way everyone else will meet at the Carpark at about 5.30pm, leave about 5.45 and slowly make our way round. If you wish to go earlier and have a play, or later feel free

Everyone happy?.... bet yah life we are!

Oh an I forgot; Channel 10 on PRS and my number is 027 6658 059 or free phone on 0800 500 233 (free from cell phone) if you need a hand for anything

Thanks Bubba.....I was just mentioning about the checks at the gate as they have been known to do them on occasions......a couple of other people thought it was on Sat as well....I wasn't micro managing you this time

if there is enough interest I will organise a key....

FYI Area's to keep off round there are the dunes (ie the sandy hills on the side) and the protected grass which is mentioned on the sign at the quarry.

Also one of the bays has a half submerged WW2 universal carrier which is rusty and sharp etc and will shred your tyres if you go over it, I'll point it out if I remember where it is

Just a thought....If you are first over devils gate send your strop bi#ch out to check if there isn't another truck/bike/walker etc coming over the opposite way whe you are....

I'll drag out my usual cooking gear etc....

Another thought....will there be people arriving late? and do you want meeting (its a pr#ck of a place to get stuck sometimes by yourself)

Whats the story with drinking and driving?

There isn't a story because it won't happen. It's a public place.

Drinking and driving, bad
Driving then drinking, good!

Common sense applies to all things on this trip, if you think you may have problems getting over the gate then go with the crowd, easy aye

If you get stuck and you are alone then use your radio and or phone me or someone (hence the telephone number and freq  ) (you may need to do some walking though as the signal can be iffy)

There are friggin big signs telling you where you can't go, thats a fairly obvious indicator that you can't go there, easy aye

If you think you want to get pissed while driving or being a moron then do so at the risk of;

A. Having a accident and killing people
B. Getting caught by the Police/ Council and losing your licence
C. Getting told you are a dickhead and bugger off home.

Lets not get tired down with too many rules etc. Lets just have fun and remember that your actions reflect on ORE as a group and the people that have so generously allowed us to use their bach. I certainly don't wish tell people what they can and cannot do, but I will if need be, see rule 3
