it must be one of the earlier forward comtrols cos i remember them looking a little bit different...

damned cool rigs though.. love to have one... 8)

Yes, these were a variation of the Series 2A, known as the series 2B. Land Rover running gear.

There are also the forward control 101's which IMO are cool, all Range Rover running gear except suspension & chassis, made for the military.
