New pajero in wellington

Post by Maje »

Hey

Nice to meet you all. I have just bought a SWB pajero, 3.5L manual. Its been lifted up with 33"s and has a snorkle. Looking to get out and about over summer.

The front inner CVs are sounding a little sorry for themselves and have split boots so i will need to fix that some time soon.

Cheers
Matt

Can I suggest some free wheeling hubs for the front. This will save ya cv boots quite a bit whenever you are on the road.

Nice choice of vehicle by the way

Thanks NJV6. Went with the Paj due to the 3.5L motor, 150kw!!!!

It has freewheeling hubs but the CVs still seem to be making a bit of noise. Only noticable when the windows are down. Maybe the hubs are stuffed?

Mine is the same - a 3.5 manual.

If your cv boots were buggered I'd fix them up before going anywhere! I can't see a genuine cv being cheap.

Yup thats the one. It has got differnet wheels on it. Do you know the guy that used to own it?

Are those 35s in the pic? I was wondering if they would fit.

Yip thats my old truck.

35's (measureed 34") fitted but they were scary, gearing was way to high. Stick to 33's better gearing and you wont bend those steering arms.

Are you talking about the Xmas drinks around at Cruisers/ Tara's Batch this Friday night.

I don't mean to thread jack so I will post on the other forum, but basically, food, grog and sleeping bag :D
