Mattman wrote:Very nice Tom. What do you use to cut the plate sections for your bumpers etc?
Cheers. For the straight cut I use a 9" with 2mm cutting wheels, for the bendy bits I use the plasma.

Haha you finally saw the light and got yourself a proper steel melter/cutter.
Way nicer to use than Oxy plant, even if they do struggle cutting through plate any thicker than 12-14mm

Oh and by the way, wicked looking job on that 80s rear bumper. I think back to your early stuff and struggle to believe that it is the same person doing the work dude. I mean when you got the engineering thing under control (you know the rig I'm talking about

) the design/aesthetics left a fair bit to the imagination (and you know which rig I'm talking about now too Possum

)
But dude, the gear you have turning out over the 18 months just keeps getting better and better. Keep it up (and remember, I am not one to tell people they are any good unless they are, and you are getting there my boy

)

Hi Tom, top job as we are expecting now, I won't go as far as saying what Rock did

, but the bar has certainly been lifted and I think you have found the answer

Maturity

, you like Rock are getting OLDER

. Have I missed something

, or is the Intercooler attached to the shock tower braces ?, and if so will you get enough movement and flex from the hose fittings without them coming off ??. Attached to the motor and cut through the bonnet you could have as Mr Falcon did

a
TOYOTA SHAKER,
FITZY.

Maybe some LED's in the airbox and under the intercooler for some added bling for the ricer crowd!!
Great Tech mate - always worth looking at what you're doing.

Nice work Tom, I have recently purchased a 2000 double cab Hilux, do you need the vehicle for measurements to make some up for me or do you have a standard pattern you follow ? Am in the North Island. How much ?
