just ran mine over the coast at the same time as paul. first real play with them and seem ok, great in ruts and bogs (being over 900mm high helps there) dont no if there as good on wet rock as they could be..
also clear mud very well..
so happy to say they are not shit..

Hi Al
It is good to see you are still interested in tracks on this side of the ditch. You will have come over for to come over for a birthday bash at Reefton
That Video was after the big dump. The big dump didn't damage the Chasm much at all.
Have you bought a truck over there yet ?
All the best Richard

Hopefully I have fix my supercharger pulley that broke at Reefton.
I have modified it by making it one unit now with the power steer pulley with epoxy resin which should make it a lot stronger

Cheers Richard

Um, do you not understand the meaning of being 'bulletproof'?
The jack is just for show

Hi Bolo
No it is only a 50inch hi-lift. Everything is exactly as you saw it when we were talking at Rallywoods when I was changing the tyres.
Sometimes I use the side bars to lift it if the ground is uneven.

My latest mod is about to happen. The hilux bolts holding the nugget are 8mm and they are too small for tough 4 wheeling so I am going to drill them out and go to 10mm high tensile bolts to hold the housing better.
My PZ70 diff in the front has a miles stronger housing compared to a Hilux
For ages I have had a bent housing that leaks oil

10mm bolts holding everything together will be miles stronger. I have wiped the oil off at the moment so the photo looks clean.

We have just spent a couple of days fitting new yukon R&P with the latest ARB lockers and solid spacers front and Back to Andy Jacksons hilux in preparation for our Xmas Reefton Trip
Cheers Richard

Great thread - just read it from one end to the other - do know how long that takes, cost me a meal out for the misses to make up

Spent the day getting ready for our Reefton trip
Pulled the winch to pieces and cleaned all the contacts. I then fitted the protection armour for the lights.
Tomorrow I will change onto the Simex tyres and secure the chainsaw
starting to look like a 4 wheel drive again

Cheers Richard

If Either of you two haven't seen the seen the "Cars 2" movie, you need too
They spend the entire movie taking the Micky out of the rover v8 and Witworth sized tools etc etc
It's not entirely accurate but funny as hell !!!!!!!!!!!

pretty staunch light grills there richard. do you find they have much affect on light output. heading for some hid's shortly and some protection like that may be in the plan

Yes they are no good at night but they are only held with 2 8mm bolts so they can be removed in a couple of minutes.
They are made from the high tensile mesh used in gravel crushers and are secured with 10mm dowels so the bolts don't need to be strong.
Before I had them I would break the flasher lights every trip so they have saved me lots of money
Cheers Richard
