Looking good... beadlocks aye, do they have the alloy outer ring? Who does them and how much? Did your rear bar fall off  I assume it's still work in progress

Unfortunately they are ricks not mine, they on there for cert will be ordering them once I got other stuff sorted. They are alloy outer rings and the kit is around 250 a corner. Still working on it. Wasn't a requirement for cert so took it off. But when I get back from holiday I'll be finishing it :)

Got the truck home for the weekend to do some work on her before she goes back to Don for cert on wednesday. Noticed that the O/D light on the dash is flashing. What would be causing that?

it's most likely a fault code, do a web search for fault codes for your model.
Is the speedo working? often O/D flashing is the speed sensor, also try disconnecting battery to reset computer, that works on some models

Your running a different auto on it arnt ya? Could.be something not hooked up. Best bet would be pull the codes and see. Take it its changing properly, enough fluid, feels like its driving properly?

We used the 185 a343 and the 130 TC plugs match up with a little bit of jossling as we found out today. The 130 tc speed sensor is on the opposite side compared to the 185 but all the rest of the loom was plug and play.

But we found another issue, that i was not aware of and i think rick wasnt either 4wd doesnt work for some reason.

Yeah thats the bit im interested in (4wd) Ive compared the two and the plugs are the same although some of the pins appear to do different jobs. The 185 plug has 6 pins and the 130 only 5. Ive got a little bit of a diagram drawn up but im just trying to figure out what they all do.

Dont spose you have a 185 wiring diagram?

I was hoping to get everything to work off the factory button and have the lights on the dash work.

Anyway let me know how ya go.

Cheers

I have the transfer diagram for the 130 if u guys need it. I know with mine I needed to bridge the plug to the sensor that was on the old front diff to get mine working. May be same with you guys

Yeah that will need done as well I think. The problem is the 185 has a similar motor on the gearbox to activate 4wd but its controlled a little diff to the 130. Im sure getting it to go wont be hard but getting the lights to work properly maybe a little different. Do you have pic of the diagram?

if your 4wd is not working what i did was follow what guys in the states use to wire toyota diff lock motors up. There are diagrams to wire them up to a dpdt switch which is really easy. Just don't use the activation light setup they use. The motors, despite they look different, are all the same internally. I built one for a diff lock out of a 4wd activation one. Mine is currently an external switch. There is also plans to use a dpdt relay with an external switch so you can use an normal switch but i found with free wheeling hubs and the surf current setup that having a 4wd activation switch away from accidental knocking range is good. If you need be to show you Jason i am sure i can.
