:x  :x  :x

surf has deveopled a strange noise...when you deacclerate at 50km/h a 'rumbling' noise starts to come from the front end :x

looks as if it might be no-show for tomorrow :x
I travelled the road less travelled now where the heck am I!!!

If you look back thru this thread I'm sure you will find that some people booked motels in Vegas, which might explain why they are not online tonight.

Dont know about the Xj but I live 10k's from Rotorua and her indoors would be a bit touchy about me booking into a motel with a misstress... but I like your suggestion :P

hahahahahahaha. I believe that a certain lad from Tauranga is the birthday boy on the weekend of the bash, so we should be able to get beers out of him.
Gareth is a great guy, runs under the username of 'furgus'.
I hope hes still coming, coz I been pestering him with posts about the birthday shout and he hasn't replied to any of them, hahahahahahahaha, maybe hes too scared to come and shout us. Or maybe hes broke after buying half of Neils rally truck.

p.s. I notice you were not trying to get a beer out me, but tiring to get a beer out of me. At least you know how tiring it will be to get me to shout, hahahahahaha

Well, the motel was ok. Our partners turend up, so the mistressess had to go...... 8)

We go to the clearing, had a chat. compulsory seesaw ramp photos were taken. Then Kat got out of the TJ to have a smoke...... not being able to help meself, i leapt in, hit the water hole, got towed out.... all good.... or was it......

We go up the first little hill climb, sweet, then nothing........... motors running, gears in..... but not forward, no reverse..... nothing..... aside from a strage browny/reddy fluid coming from the transfer case!

Off to Hirequip, thanks to Henry , the branch manager. Pulled off the t/case sump, got rid of the horrid fluid. Chucked some more in, foreward went ok in all gears, reverse went, with a delay before engaging and accompanied with the hideous "clack clack clackity clack".....

That was it.... 15 mins and i managed to right royally fuk the wifes waka!

Its still in vegas, going on the hoist tomorrow. im now in the man-whore market to enable me to a) get money to fix the dear wifes Jeep and b) I may as well, cause i aing getting any for a very looooong time.

Well, XJs use the same transfer case as TJs and YJs (i.e. NP231). How about you put your transfer case in her Wrangler and buy an Atlas II for yourself!!!!

I am surprised at your results though, because I have not known many NP231 blowing up without absolute abuse thrown at them. Was this an import wiht no history?
