Hi Tom,
Looking good, couple of questions
What bushes are you using
Are the top and bottom links the same length and are they parallel to each other.
Any touching of the Tie rod on the bottom links at full flex
whoops that was 3 questions

Cheers
Tim

Bushes are 130 surf
top arms are 610mm. Lower arms are 700mm and aren't parallel.
No touching but at full flex and full lock there would only be 1mm clearance max.

Its all pretty tight in there Tim. I wondered several times if using prado knuckles and ln106 steering arms would've been easier. Then by setting up the tie rod and drag link like on a 60 series cruiser the tie rod would then be in front of the diff. Food for thought.

At least that is an easy(ish) thing to change in the future if it becomes an issue.

As always, nice work bro.

Hi Tom,
Thanks for the info, looking to do mine sometime but will see if cert man will accept single top link.
Sounds like it is well designed if no touches, good stuff.
Cheers

Was a mission Tim  you shouldn't have any problems with a single top link, ive sent a few through cert now. Seems that as long as the top link is on the diff head theres no issues.

Update time  Just finished Adams LN106 Tube(ish) deck.
It has a underdeck winch, Hi-lift and spade mounts and a under deck box for strops etc.

This is where we started

have you got the full leaf pack in the rear of that lux? Looks to be close to the bump stops. Mine is a bit short, was thinking of taking out one of the overloads but not sure which one.

Cheers,
Pete

yea might have to try it with the fire wood on tomorrow haha.

Also have you got any pics of your front shackles? Do you put a support brace in them to stop them twisting like with the back ones?

No theres no barce in the front shackles. They're only 40mm longer than factory and there is no clearance for a brace.
Have yours twisted Pete? :? :D
