I saw the same thing and quickly came to the realisation that one of the big trucks he works on cracked him one on the head and he has gone mad. What alternate is there?

Hahahaha everythings for sale at the right price was waiting for someone to comment on it  I would be keen on a diesel 70 series but good ones are very hard to find for a reasonable price  especially when you can find a modded manual diesel gq for F all.

Im certainly not going to give the 40 away

Got my snorkel made up tonight, Its 3 inch mild steel exhaust tube which Ill gt powder coated gloss black next week hopefully  .
I wanted it to be nice an close to the windscreen frame so I can see past it when driving, Im pretty happy with it, the only part I can see from the drivers seat is the bottom of the top hat.
Its mounted to the lower section of the windsceen hinge.

Hole cut in guard with 3 1/2" hoe saw an die grinder

All tacked up

Mouning bracket made from 40x40mm angle an a small piece of flat to brace it.

Front view all welded up
Image

As it sits now, with top hat on just need to clean it up an powder coat then its finished, should look pretty cool :D

I can bid on it for ya, coz dreams are free

unless you know someone who can do it for ya, I can recommend a really good automotive upholsterer fulla for the soft top

don't skimp on it if ya gonna be driving it round in all weather

don't use domes in high wind/stress points or anywhere the bush may grab and pull and theres a few other pointers I have as well

Do tell skid, who would you recommend? An what other tips do you have for designing it as I dont have much of an Idea  .
I was thinking of getting a cheap bimini top made for bush runs just to keep the rain an mud off me, an a good soft top for road an beach use etc

I was pretty close to joining you guys at red rocks last night but common sense prevailed for once

Well... if you're doing that, you may as well stick a V8 in the 40 - then you'll be wanting to hang onto it! :)

Havent posted anything on here in a little while, so think its time for an update.
Yes its still for sale  but ever since I put the steering box on its had a small leak around the input seal. A few weeks ago it started leaking like a seive. I bought a newer one in good condition, so went to change them over.
The newer one is slightly larger than the older one where the hoses goes in so wont fit without cutting alot more out of the front grill :( :?
So today I decided to pull the old one apart an see if I whats inside  It was really quite easy to get apart as long as you keep the recirculting ball assembly together lol.
Will get new seals tomorrow an post up the pics after its back togther
