what time are you heading down mate ? probably make more sence to meet us at the whakamaru dam so that your not back tracking half the morning ? easy to find and we will be going over there at around 10:30-11:00am ish so you dont have to get up super early to get there

up to you im just making sugestions, D.B will be more informative

Guppy - 027 357 9547

Ben - Ya might wanna chuck some food and water in too man

brianr70 - meet ya at the Kerosenecreek Road/SH30 intersection around 11am Sunday. The intersections just down the road from SH30/SH5(Murapara) intersection. You got PRS/Mobile Phone???

IceKayak - Sounds like you might wanna think about strengthening your rear chassis members

dixie - You got that 50mm B/L now, so no one will notice if you come on the 32's. To be fare, keep it to one mod per trip, 35's would make it two and would not be fair on the rest of us

food and water ! great idea :D

i think it may take us longer than that to get to rainbow mountain pete, probably better for brian to meet us at the whakamaru dam as we will have a better idea of time frame to get there, from ngaroma block to the dam is only scott rd then road tramp to the dam which isnt far. im guessing that we will only make the dam by 10:30-11:00 ish. to make kero creek by then we will have to haul arse !

thoughts ?

will have to be a fuel up at the wiotapu gas station as well..... ohh yea im gonna burn some gas !

Very true Ben, we might not get that far by then, but at the same time, its a long way out Brians way, and the fun doesn't really start on Sunday until we hit rainbow mountain. (Unless your thinking fire breaks  )

From Tauranga to Waiotapu would only be an hour and a half drive, were as from Tga to Whakamaru is a mission, specially on Muddies.

Your call brianr70, you can meet us where ever you like, lunchtime at Rainbow mountain, mid afternoon at the lake, or mid morning at Whakamaru for the fire break run.

Let us know roughly what you want to do, and i can give you a very rough time, then call me on Sunday morning and will be able to give you a better one.

Lots of options huh

Any ways:

Kerosenecreek Road (thats what the signpost on the road says  )

And the rest of you we will meet here at 9am on Saturday Morning:

You can meet them at the Hilcrest Caltex Station at 6am on Saturday morning, or meet me and who ever else is coming on Friday at the same place at around 6 or 7pm.

cruiser is all go, radiator in and semi roof on(thanks DB  ) and new 16" elec fan on the front....makes a horrid noise but it will be fine 8)

will change to big wheels tomorrow and load up the missile then were off !

pretty much thinking im gonna head down friday night as well, i think dixie is keen to do the same and moriarty is doing the same.

so pretty much meet there unless the auckland contingent want to organise meeting up somewhere to travel as convoy ? makes more sence just incase a vehicle has problems on the way, and is much more interesting in a convoy :D

more updates tomorrow

umm yeh well my trucks still not legal yet... had to do the waterpump, and in this silly engine you have to take the timing belt off to do it (along with power steering pump, alternator, radiator etc), so decided it was best to replace timing belt wilst i was at it... so its still in a few pieces hoping to have it done late tonight and wof tommorow to allow half a day to fix any silly things he finds. What a mission...

Yeh us jaffa'a are planning on rolling down together (i hope)
