Just about to say...
From looking at the photos of your truck you have got a pretty well set-up beast.
It will cope with Rallywoods just fine, quite a few of us use our trucks as daily drivers.

Using Googlemaps I have put together a little map with some information for out of towners mainly.
How to get to Rallywoods if travelling South along SH1 (starting from when you reach Plimmerton)
Locations of petrol stations and fast-food outlets closest to the venue.
The meeting point and some general stuff.
Anyone should be able to view this, don't need any software or Google Earth.
If there is something missing, yell out, we'll add it.

Do out of towners want an option to go to a motorcamp 20 mins away to freshen up if they want? we can probably arrange this...

Nice map Cloggy. I was going to put one together sometime this week too, but you beat me to it

Mike and I are going to go on Saturday morning some time and then I will stay the night in a tent by the hut so that I don't have to listen to you lot snoring. Then Handbrake is going to come for Sunday, we'll spend the night in the tent again, and then we'll muck around on Monday morning and head home.

We have managed to arrange Super Nanny (Grandma) to look after the kids for the 3 days so that will make things a bit easier :D

Said it once, gonna say it again! My house is only 25 minutes away, anyone and everyone that wants to stay is more than welcome. I will have two spare beds, plus sofa's and heaps of floor space if that runs out. No cost, no bother

If you need to freshin up while you are out there then you need to harden the hell up! Whats the point of going bush for the weekend and then going out every day to "freshin up". The only reason to leave is to buy more piss, or pick up parts for broken vehicculars

Does that mean that you are going to stay at home you big poofter :?: Can't handle a little outdoors, mid-winter, sub zero temperature action ay :?:

Or are you just going to let the out-of-towners go wild at your place? Brave man if you are... what if a Southlander came up and wanted to stay?

Nah, it means that they can come the night before, stay the night, use it as a base, get a good night sleep before they leave etc.

If they need to, they are more than welcome to come and go as they please, I don't give a fck what they do, but I will out in the bush with the rest of the men, drinking beer and beating my chest, sure beats staying at home and beating my.....

Oh, and I'm hoping to be driving while out there to

The hut is a decent size. Can't remember how many bunks there are but there is a few. And it could probably take another 20 bodies scattered around the main living/boozing area. Then there is a couple of pretty rusty old railway wagons scattered around outside. If you're not fussy sharing your space with the odd possum these would be acceptable (would help if you're drunk as a skunk as well).
Then there is the grass area outside the hut for pitching tents and if that is filled with tents, cars or discarded beer bottles (not encouraging this practice by the way), there is alway the machinery shed or airstrip 100 metres away. Plenty of space there to pitch a tent.

I think the huts an old ministry of works building or something like that that was relocated up there many years ago, it must be around 15m x 10m  and sleeps about 15-20 people on the maori bunks, there's quite a few couch's as well and plenty of room for camp stretchers inside :D

theres an old lister generator for lighting and a fireplace and coalrange inside, running water etc
