Good man cloggy, all my running generators are over at the bach, the only one I've got here is an old Robin thats only putting out 115 volts :? :?:

The best firewood for a bonfire would probably be the big driftwood piles off the beach at plastic bay, we could do a big load on the flatdeck to keep things warm for the night  :fire:

You know better than to ask, do what you want to it and bring it out if you want I don't mind towing it out if I have to, as long as the guards clear the tires.

There is nice 5 star accomodation at the woolshed, bring a sleeping bag, if you are a wuss you can bring an airbed. if you get lonely then I sure a possum or 3 will visit you during the night. and use your airbed as a scratching post. I thought you took that doll back.....after you wore out the sheep one

Whats the stance Re using a towbar as a rear recovery point? ie with the ball removed and a shackel in its place? Towbar will be bolted in with high tensile bolts. this method was recommended in this months 4x4 Action Mag

A rated hook is better...we'll have a look at it...

If you give marty a call 384 4141 (Stinky) he can have a look and sort out your proper hooks sometime....he can probably look at your lift as well.

Who in the Hutt Valley has a muffler they are willing to donate?
Anything will do, motorcycle, small car, truck, or whatever.
Need it for the generator as it is, well, just a little noisy. A muffler will increase the comfort level and avoid deaf possums.

Yeah, we can do a midnight spares trip to Turoa's tomorrow. Failing that, I could always drag the welder along as well on the weekend, then when Sadam brings his muffler I can weld it on in the rain and mud and in the dark. Nothing like a bit of a challenge

I'll definitely be staying the night and H and the kids will see what the weather is going to be like.

I'll bring my baby (as in small, not loved) generator just in case it can be used. I can't imagine that we will need too much power so if you don't get yours sorted Cloggy then mine will do for a bit of basic lighting.

Getting excited ;)

The genie runs fine, its just a little noisy (think Mr O's Disco at full noise times two). I am sure we don't want complaints from our neighbours down in the Marlborough Sounds about the noise level so I thought a muffler might be an idea.
It's an old dunger and will run a jug or frying pan but not both at the same time so a back up genie might be a good idea.
