Call me old / old fashioned / not in sync with fashion, but can you please try to use a bit more of the alphabets available in the English language. I don't believe this forum charges members or visitors by the number of characters they type / post (we are not really using cellphones here, are we?). Thanks. SMS has its place, but please not on the forum.

As for your comment, I have no clue what you are on about.

What pearls of wisdom......... I make it a point of welcoming all other Jeepers with their choice of rides, XJs have their place and TJs have theirs. You are comparing apples and oranges, lets just leave it at that. But if you think a Dana 35c in the rear is better than a Dana 44, please continue with your logic. If you have to ask what these two Danas are, well.......

I have been thinking about painting my factory ones black, but mine are 16" alloys. I don't want them destroyed if the paint job doesn't come out as anticipated. I might buy one off trademe (if it comes up) and experiment.

My one:

When I got it she was lifted 4.5 inches on 33's, (JKS adjustable coil over spacer was sitting on stock front springs) with front locker and ARB bar. Front driveshaft (cv style) had been replaced with that of an XJ, and had a hi flow thermostat.... Since then Ive added:

1) 2 x rts (CB and UHF)
2) rear hooks
3) full size spare and rim
4) replace front springs
5) heat exchanger
6) roof rack made for hi lift and spade
7) transfer case replaced with 242
8 ) rock sliders
9) rear bar and tyre carrier
10) winch
11) install stereo with cd and ipod plug
12) got horns working (replaced)
13) heavy duty tie rod
14) quick discos
15) muffler out, twin resonators in
16) dual battery
17) 12-240 v inverter
18) air compressor (just sitting under back seat)
19) 4.10 ring and pinion
20) install Jet chip module
21) reinforced the arb bar where hooks are located
22) extended the front bumpstops
23) tinted windows (badly)

That's me done.... well maybe some bonnet vents need to go in, and the front bar may need some trimming.... and..... (shhh here she comes)

If anyones wondering, the total to date, including purchase price is $15,275.15.

I know of a long armed ZJ in Hawkes Bay... and a fairly stock one.. with a lexus v8 in it in Raglan and Ive seen two truck on TM over the past few years, the recent brown one and there was a burgundy one floating about as well. I hear there may be a couple in the South Island too. Aside from them I dont think theres too many other modded ones about.

tga_4x4 i don't know if you saw the 3.5" lift I liniked to in your ZJ and Falcon fuel economy thread, but xj pointed out the fact there is nothing in that kit to deal with the track rods.
They failed to mention in the ad that you get a rear track bar bracket with instalation instructions and also details on drilling a hole in the existing front one, so no worries there (hopefully).
I'm half way thru putting mine in, should have it in by next weekend, it cost me $1200 all up which isn't bad.
