I'll be there.................and competing

I think i need to order some ORE stickers for the truck, although once we've been through the mud i'm not sure how much of it will be seen
Has anyone had any
official advice about this event? With all the rain we've been having i'd hate for it to be postponed again, or even cancelled altogether

I will be in the passanger seat of 4x4BOYs (matt) discovery, if we can get the diff sorted in time, should be great fun. :thumleft:
I think there will be a LOT of mud as it is still very wet up that way.

You can enter on the day but it costs more.

New Diff going in on Saturday (cheers Aaron). Nothing else can go wrong surely. I've been looking forward to this for ages. Go the Disco.
Entry by post is $25 or on the day is $35. Given the uncertainty of the weather I reckon on the day is best (besides it is a fundraiser. Whats another $10).
Sounds like the ORE team isn't quite as strong as we thought it was going to be. Come on guys, get into it. Getting out there has to be more fun than drinking beer on the sideline. Surely we can get more than a few trucks sporting the ORE signs.

I'm driving in it 4x4boy, and agree, we need a few more active players.

Hi all, back on line after two weeks in Queensland. Just got off the phone from speaking to Nev Croy one of the organizers. They spent yesterday at the site marking out sections and at this stage all looks good for Sunday although it was snowing there this morning .He intends to phone all that have enterd on Wednesday night to let them know . At this stage entries are full there will be no entries on the day . Nev said that because of the conditions the event is going to be fairly tough with some sections only for the open class vehicles . Don't let this put you off ,I'll still be there GETTING DIRTY so see you all there. Those that have entered and are now not going to compete please advise organizers, because they have a waiting list or leave your name here and i will contact organizers or Ph me 3387202 . ----- now going to Cruiser to try and find the reason for my intermitent miss (not to be confused with Missus) every now and then it gives a cough and the rev counter gives a flick just as though the ignition was turned off ----- hard to find those intermitent ones.
GET DIRTY , FITZY.

What is the "start" time for this event on Sunday, and pardon the ignorance, but whereabouts in Sheffield is it? I hope it will be signposted, as not too familiar with the area.
Cheers

Last time I was there it was sign-posted, just "head for the hills" and you'll find it. (if you know how to get to sheffield, it's a couple of k's before on the main rd)

3 trucks... Guess someone owes me an apology for the abuse I copped that has now been proven as fact. It's 4 wheel driving, not 4 wheel sitting in a shed talking about it aye.

Slight correction. With Steve I believe it is 4. But then I don't see you with an entry????

That should be fine Al, but if you're going to use Leithy's entry, you might as well borrow his truck too

just because his trucks probably on the entry anyway.....
I'm sure he wont mind

My repair only cost half of your one, at a little over $2k... but still - yours (and mine) blew up while being driven
ON THE ROAD!
I really don't see entering the mudplug as being any different from a day down the 'mak... Its a 4WD... use it
People who eat at McDonalds shouldn't throw vegetables? (I got kicked out of McD's a few years back for hitting a staff member with a bit of gerkin we launched from a cheeseburger wrapper

... damn fine shot I thought - although we were aiming for the window)

Nah, it was me who abused you, and since I'm still going the abuse stands
...although introduce yourself while we are there and I'll have a beer with you...
