Re: Hilux trailer queen
Time for a bit of an update, ever since I owned this thing i've never been totally happy with it's flex or height, and quite harsh suspension.
First up was the rear end which was sorted back in Feb, now the front end has been changed around a tad by a bit more that a tad of tweaking from Tom's handier than mine skills
It's now flexy as can be, plush in the ride, and sitting close to a couple of inches lower than it was....
Just gotta get out for a thrash now
Before

AFTER

And a couple of inches lower
Also i'm after an external electric fuel pump if anyone has something capable of supplying a V8EFI with gas

Already has a low press feeding surge tank, then the High press feeding injection, so will stick with that set up, less mucking around changing shite now

Re: Hilux trailer queen
Hey Tim, not sure if you know the numbers, but I believe that you need 40ish PSI to crack the injection rail.
Ugly is a state of mind..... and the state of my truck!
Re: Hilux trailer queen
you wont have issues making 40psi with the 044 or similar.
I have issues with our lines bulging as they make in excess of 70psi in certain circumstances.

Re: Hilux trailer queen

Got it out of the garage last week, it's been there so long I had to wash the dust off

Been out in it once since last xmas, and that was months ago

I really need to get out for a spin soon and test out the coilovers, I blame others for the lack of use of this thing.........like Tom, Rick and Rock who just haven't finished their toys

C'mon guys I for one need some motivation before I give up and try a new sport, i'm not really into competing so the winch challenge scene isn't really my thing..........mountainbiking perhaps

Nah it has to involve motorsport or hobby of some type.........and preferably v8's

Buy me some time dude, and I will gladly go out for a skid. I have spent 2 yrs building a beast with over $40k invested and I can't get the last 80 hrs or so of work completed on it.
My business' come before toys I'm afraid..........

I'd hate to be a builder in Chch at the mo too Rock, you guys sure have some work on ya hands and are doing a great job

The amount of homes being built at present astounds me, and that doesn't include the demo going on, I guess the wheeling will happen for you ..........sometime
