Just had the old headers removed and these larger ones made up and installed.

After changing the sump and finding out the new location of the oil filter was running to close to the old headers, they had to be modified. So these are slightly larger headers (44mm)

It hasn't been on the dyno to tweak the fuel map yet. But already I've noticed alot more torque down low.

Video? I recon. I'm still waiting on my Helmet cam to get back from the people that supplied it. It broke  (helmetcamera.co.nz) They've been SLACK as! As soon as it does I'll get on to it.

Hayden at Thorpe Engineering made up the headers. Did a mint job. But at $1900 bucks (fark me!) I expected it to be gold plated or something! Not happy with that. I haven't paid the bill on that yet.

Did you pick up the boosterseat m8?

I'm enjoying the weather here in Surfers at the mo. Wearing a tee shirt n shorts n jandles in June is great! It's 23 over here. 8)
It's a bit sad when all I can think about is, how's my fj40 is going at Thorpe Engineering. Hayden is finishing a few mods on it. I'm keen to get back in the drivers seat again.

Rekon your going to have to put those mufflers back on with the new noise law coming into play? Shot past you in the work van the other week down Fitzgerald Ave and she didn't sound to quiet.

Got sick of waiting for fabricators to do the work on my 40. So I went out and brought a Miller 180 mig and a 60amp Plazma cutter. YEEhaa! Now I just have to brush up my welding skills.

I'm getting a 12mm sheet of steel to go on that bench for a working area. And a heavy duty vice to go on the end where the gloves are hangin. Then she's all go.

You shot past me? Fark, you'd have to be breaking the sound barrier mate!

My sisters Harley sounds louder than my 40 on wide open throttle.

Almost finished? Well. I've got just one or two things left to finish:

1. Onboard compressor tank to install.
2. Twin battery box to be made n installed into floor.
3. Soft top rear bar support to be braced (instead of using plastic zip ties)
4. Roll bar spot light locator pins to lock in horizontal position.
5. Soft top door frame spacing.
6. Gear box interior cover to be made up.
7. X2 Roll bar gun supports
8. Stone guard/bash plate pretection for sump.
9. Stone guard/bash plate protection for alloy rear tank.

Then after those couple of things. There's my brothers 40 to work on.
Not to mention building a crank support for my brothers barn to lift car engines from.

Yeah just a couple of things.

I also want to build a couple of storage bins in the side of my twin axled trailer. One of them will be a onboard fridge. 8)

Need I go on?
