Ryan, hes just a Tosser and in my opinion his only motivation is to flame this thread, hes done it before and hes going to do it again. Some people cant help themselves?

I do agree with Flashs concerns about the road but I dont agree with his childish provacation and he holds no credibility with me and probably most other people on this forum

Its not your anonymous credibility I'm after and that should be obvious.

Uhmmmm Whanga Road whilst being a Public Road - it is also held dearly by 4wders all over NZ and especially those in the immediate area.

Please have a great time whilst always being mindful that 4wding is under constant attack and these short stretches of unformed road reserve will be the first to be turned into walking, mountain biking or horse trekking recreational reserve if we damage them.

The road itself is in good order. I was in there last weekend looking. There is a little bit of work that needs doing on the road. As a person that has spend alot of time and money fixing the road (5 trips just on working bees in the last 3 years), i want to make sure that we have it to use always. Perhaps the people on here that are complaining should pick up a shovel and do some work out there instead of typing on a keyboard.

Thanks for the vote of confidence and your own assumption you're qualified to comment. Our members must think I'm a plonker as well, since they have re-elected me three times already and probably know me fairly well.

And this just goes to prove the point you are a plonker, Ya take a shot at me cause you are always on the attack, not caring about anything than trying to get the best of someone and not really interested in the concerns you originally raised.

If you were concerned, you would have read the TREAD LIGHTLY part of my post as well. I see you didn't comment on that

Also when I asked if you could suggest an alternative to Whanga rd, again you were neither helpful or of any use.

I think you have made your point and if you had left it at that, would have been fine, the trip may even have fallen thru

BUT, no you plonk on in, pissing EVERYONE off and I believe, Convincing everyone who may have passed on this trip to instead take part, just to show you that you have not bullied us out of it

And I am qualifled to comment cause a) am an affiliated member of 2 4X4 clubs, an affiliated member of the NZFWDA and b) got sick of listening to your absolute rubbish and pointed insults

I say Good day to you Gordon and have a nice day

And I obviously did get the best of you because you seem so annoyed about it. As for "tread Lightly" the conservation movement figured out a long time ago that we paid it lip service at best and the beneficial effect of it has long gone. Don't expect me or anyone else to take that seriously.

Zip it Gordon

you are digging a hole way bigger than you have already dug

your attack on this thread has now gone past the point of caring about your community and the areas you drive in and has reverted back to what seems to be an attack on a personal member of our 4wd community who had probably really had enough by now, which is why he is holding his tongue, which is a lot stronger than the rest of us are at present.

let it rest

those involved in the trip are experienced enough (maybe more than you) to protect the environment they drive in and I believe they will do thier upmost to "TREAD LIGHTLY" ....................

which is a term you seem to take very lightly

My understanding of the whole Whanga road thing is, it is a public road and can be driven whenever, no one tells me I can or can't drive on a public road! END OF STORY :!:

See you all Friday
8)

That's the attitude suzuki, and if you're a member of an affiliated club, and i sure hope not with an attitude like that, you're just exactly the sort of person, saying and doing the sorts of things that our 4x4 movement needs to root itself properly with no help from the outside. What a tough guy. What brains and common sense you display, and the fact that unmentionable pariah (look it up) copies and endorses your comment, pretty much reinforces what we've been worrying about all along...

First of all, you don't know me, you don't know how I drive, don't judge a book by it's cover and you don't have anything nice or positive to say at all.

I don't want to go 4x4ing somewhere and rip up the road, one that is a public road, be it gravel, mud, clay etc etc, it's a public road and there are road rules, I know that, seems like you don't want anyone up your way on your "precious" road, well news flash!! GET OVER IT!! We are coming....

There is a time and place for "ripping it up" and I do know the difference, you are just a shyt stirrer.

To judge someone by what they say is rather malice (look it up), I obey they road rules and know when and where to take care, I have been driving for over 20 years, riding motorbikes and 4x4ing for over 10 years, so now you tell me I can't drive on a public road, who the fark are you to tell me what to do and what not to do.

Tell you what, why don't you turn up on the day and we will see who the tough guy is.

I get pissed off at people that think they are the only ones that are allowed to use "X" area, FFS we are a 4x4 community and we are here to help each other out, but all you want to seem to do is shut people down and not let them enjoy the country that we are living in.

Quite right Skid, I was thinking that same thing myself. I was beginning to enjoy the cut and thrust a bit much i suppose, especially when someone calls me a plonker and its OK, but I respond, not even calling silly names, and i'm a bully. I must be a bully then.

Let me show you all my gentle side. Come on up here everyone and enjoy your weekend. Its a cold and bleak place on a rainy day, with no cell phone or radio coverage worth a damn but if the sun comes out it can be one of the most beautiful spots in the country and therefore the world. Sometimes, If you listen carefully, you can hear the welcoming strains of the banjos amid the occasional squeals and grunts of wild pigs as they browse unseen through the trackless bush. Its heaven on earth indeed. How's that? I should have been a real estate saleman I reckon!

Pity I'll miss it really, but I'll be warm at home watching the rugby test against those nasty Aussies.

you don't need to tie him to the roof

you just need to tie his new vehicle to the one in front

Shoot Skid, you're a real card! I's jest haven yez on! They's no banjo pluckers in them thar hills and even if they was they'd probly druther not bother any hard cases from Welly. It just feels like there is out there sometimes, I've never seen one myself except for a couple of drunk good ole boys havin' a gunfight outside the cafe the night before republic day last year. Had to sepyrate them with a good bang from the trusty ole bullwhip before they shot someone. You mighta read about it in our club newsletter or ask Marg at the Cafe. I spose I was a bully then too, durn it, but its a true story. Can't do anything right can I.
