Sorry it will take ages as there is 190 of them and I have to downsize the lot to get them to load onto the site. My camera creates them at 2084 x 1360 pixles or around 2.6Mb each!

Well yes the fact the prize was for laying the truck on its side in reverse on the first obstacle
But what can i say.... they did give this prize out first
And i have to add how well the trusty old toyota went considering she got two healthy air cleaners full of water.
.........So after a bad start on the first two hurdles with water problems we came back and placed 12th or 13th out of ? (probably 13
) Anyway as i said before it was an awesome day and will post my new avatar soon

ah yes h2o my friend.. how good was that outing?!
managed to put her on her side in the first hole of the day within 5 mins of the competition starting...
thats was all good to sort, oil refill and empty/clean airbox..lined up for 2nd hole and soon as we entered all the crap left in snorkel entered the air box.. damn it, clean the air box again.. after that clean, everything came right and we cruised on through stages 3 to 6..
after lunch on the first hole was a damn close thing too.. whilst launchin up a sideling and tryin to follow the course, the truck didnt want to play cricket and were close to goin over.. h2o had to steer back down hill and boot it.. would've been a real mess as were goin a lot quicker with deeper water to land in.. shot h2o..
neat fun..
next year i'll have to enter in my completed modded 40.. :veuzelol:

Sorry guys, I dont understand why you cant see the pics. They are not hidden or anything silly like that. I have just been through them all and re orderd them, taking out a whole bunch of double-ups too.
Unfortunatley somehow I have lost a whole bunch of shots from the 2nd half of the day. Something went wrong with my CF card.

This must be something else because the gallery is still the same as it ever was. I havnt done any modifications in that area and wont till the new GPS gallery goes online.
I'll see what I can find.

heres a handy tool for resizing photos - you can still get a pretty good shot at alot smaller file sizes - makes uploading files a bit quicker..

Thanks to Tim for being kitchen b#$Y% for the day, fantastic setup and nice sausages
And thanks to everyone (and I mean everyone - seems like no-one missed it!) for taking photos and videos of the MU coming so close to going over it was teetering... I damn near had Rik sitting in my lap...
Did ok too... apparently got 12th in the open class against some pretty impressive monsters... would be keen to see the final placings tho.
Like H2O I duffed the first hole... couldn't turn sharp enough and ended up against a tree - lack of forward motion, end of hole
Second hole I did in style, including punting Rik in the back of the head with the doof doof - snapped the ratchet tiedown and sailed the sub around inside the truck while standing it on its nose (litterally, 2 wheels
) on a drop-off into the river.
Once again, thanks to all the ORE members who came along - it was a great day. (Didn't see Bushpig anywhere, despite the offer of a beer)

Some excellent pics there
Just a quick thanks to steve(supralux) for the donation of half a litre of oil
The only thing i had to add after my wee tip
Apart from a push on the inside of the door skin to pop the dent out
But pleased to say the truck is now running sweet again(or as sweet as a 3B diesel can
)

Just a quick thanks to steve(supralux) for the donation of half a litre of oil

The mud is for Pussys who can't handle the real thing man

No room for errors when you flop it on the rocks, (they don't bend like mud does)

'Course it would be good to get some Cruisers, Pootrols, and zukis coming out and playing on the rocks, but apparently they are not up to it.(or maybe the trucks are, but their owners are not)

Don't tell me how good your truck is, come out into the real ugly country and show me

Still it is good fun to watch all the inferior wagons wallowing around in the mud!

Seconded on Steves comment about Tim. He made a huge effort and it was very much appreciated

But then again there is always one who will go the extra mile eh H20

Ugly is a state of mind..... and the state of my truck!
Steve was next vehicle in line after you did your balancing act and was running to try and add a bit of support to stop a complete flop when you selected reverse and backed out , and was only after a couple of Fanta's I thought that was clever with two right hand wheels on the ground and left hand high in the air you drove it out ------- have I missed something or could the diff spider gears have got jammed up or something ??? . ..
What a great day, sorry I didn't get to meet all ORE members I seamed to be bussy all day and on the occasion I got to the ORE kitchen there was no one there and after I cleaned the cruiser in the river and packed up the group had packed up and gone . As for my event , I had a ball did all stages I was comfortable with and wimped out on the ones that I thought where going to hurt . Next year I will fit 33in tyres and go in the Modified class , more suited to road going vehicle . Thanks to all those that turned up to compete and support and those that didn't make it see you next event or trip. I will attempt to get a result sheet and post it here.
GOT DIRTY , FITZY.
