Balance or possibly new centre bearing
Current 4wd: Surf Kzn185 ssrg factory Intercooled (yet to start build)
Past 4wd: toyota surf ln130, coil sas, 1uz v8 build

Hi dude,
bout $180-$200 for the front shaft on the vx. is it a bearing noise,speed causes it. where are the kids and wife at the time of noise. :lol:

it doesnt have a centre bearing as such but has the bearing in the centre of the cardan

Does it have a slip joint in the driveshaft? If it is been pulled apart and not put back in the same place it will vibrate.

Either that or input pinion bearing in the diff, does it vibrate worse on deceleration?

Scored some Genuine tweeter units and covers the other day finally got around to fitting them. Hooked them up to my UHF so i have remote speakers

Spent the last week working on the braking on the truck. Hand brake works properly now. But one big thing was upgrading the 130 callipers to the larger 130, 4pots what a big difference that has made. Stops on a dial now.

so after fitting the larger 4 pots one of the pistons seized up. new calliper kit fitted.. even better.

Rear hand brake set up properly and new Handbrake shoes fitted.

got new front panhard bushes today too so will fit them tomorrow evening



Does anyone know if i can get to the top breather on my trans through the leaver assembly hole???? need to fit a breather hose to it???

i know you can on 130s

How did u get on with the driveshaft? Was it front or rear?

Still there had a suggestion this week to look at engine mounts. Done the gear box mout as it had shared clean off but havnt had a chance to take drive shaft in

so i changed my engine mounts what were also partially torn.
guess what the vibration is still there.....

Where'd you get that olive drab case? does it have water proof seal around the lid?

it was my deployment box from when i was in the army. yes it does..
