Another little update
Some elves came in overnight and replaced my cardboard panhard mounts with steel




The yellow and red santa dropped this off


Dropped the body back on to check clearances around the motor

Its good to see that I wasnt the only one that thought hilux chassis needed a bit of extra bracing in the front where the old shocks used to mount

I paid through the nose from Cardwells - $300 for a 60lt

Little update, it seems like I've been spending heaps of time on this thing but not much is getting done
anyways, got a fuel pump bracket made and welded on tonite, also a frame and straps to hold the fuel cell in.









Radiator has gone away to be modified, and a shroud made for the fans. Got a EFI fuel filter sorted.
Trying to do stuff that needs to be done to get her fired up

Had to make up a banjo fitting to join my -8 fuel line to the injector rail, not an off the shelf part because of the mix of metric and AN, plus it has the pulsation dampener in it as well.





And started on the bling fuel system

Been a big slack with pics lately, so here's a few

Radiator basically will go here, shroud is done and fans mounted


Finished rebuilding transfer and duals, installed 4.7 gears in the back case, 205:1 crawl ratio




Fuel plumbing is complete, Bosch pump and filter






Started mocking up a basic exhaust outta the factory bits and some tube


Next is to build rocksliders/cab mounts, cab will be solid mounted on the rockslider outriggers, then drop the cab on and mount the radiator on the rear wall of the cab, then plumb it in. After that, build a basic dash, install a battery and FIRE IT UP!!

As for you thinking i'm outta 4x4...... you're wrong, I have something under my hat, the only parts I want to re-use from the surf are the winch, front bar and RT, it will mean more TG sales for you

Been a big slack with pics lately. Missed a week and a half doin anything on it, 14hr days at work job all done now so were back onto it.

Built some sliders, and notched the sills to drop the cab a bit lower






mounted the rad on the back wall of the cab, and plumbed it in.








My auto sparky brother is coming down on Wednesday nite to wire up, so we should have a startup vid by the weekend
