Didn't the founder of ccvc have his ashes placed next to the hut??
Frankly if they are so self-centred then I don't want to meet them. However if they are so brainwashed by their "club" then they need to be shown how our club works.

But first Jerry I want you to sort out taking me in for a trip because I don't think I can be bothered helping out if the hut is not what I want. Ok?? Please be ready to take me in on Monday morning at 6am because that suits me. If I don't like the colour of the hut then I will just stay the night and you can show me the way out the next day.
P.s I don't have a 4wd so you can drive me and pay for the fuel as well.

You obviously have no idea the extent that CCVC goes to to keep places like the akkas, foxton beach and southerlands track open for access curly. Just because they dont have an active involvement in working at rallywoods like you guys do doesnt mean they dont do anything. Im sure the countrys largest and one of the oldest clubs needs to be shown how a club works

I am actually aware of what they do and issue’s that they deal with in regards to keeping places open.

What I am talking about is making a special trip for a couple of people just to see if they want to help out. Surely if they were keen they would of already been in with CCVC or would just rock up and help out.

Have they not been encouraged by their club to get out on trips and volunteer to help when needed??

Just because it is an old large club doesn’t mean they don’t need to be proactive in changing with the times. Showing landowners how we can all benefit from hands on help, as well as behind the scenes, is becoming more important as the areas we can access are shrinking

Im sure from CCVCs perspective this trip would be to see what your plans are and where they can help out.

This trip is the only workparty that has been mentioned to the club and look you already have people keen to come and see what is happening. Rallywoods is not often used by CCVC compared with the other areas so i dont think they should be criticised for concentrating in the areas they do use rather that rallywoods where you guys play just about every weekend.

then you get the other clubs that do help to maintain the hut etc and then get blamed a few weeks later for trashing the place that they just had a working bee at.
Swinds and roundabouts curly. At the moment ORE are flavour of the month, but eventually somone will do something to piss them off and then they will frequent the place less and other clubs may use it more.

Its a phase we all go through at times. like a trend.

I think your comments were a bit harsh, but thats my view. I don't know your history of 4wding within welly and your knowledge of the other clubs within the region, but maybe you should do some research before you start throwing stones in glasshouses.

SORRY FOR THE THREAD HIJACK, BUT I NEEDED TO SAY MY PIECE.
