So DID I, down and across Timahanga Station with actual PERMISSION from the Roberts family.
On down to Te Koau deer farm. BUT Unfortunately, my contact who is an owner (maori block) has not got control at the moment.
The lease has been sold for a year and the lessees want to charge us $45 per person per day.
So. Plan "B" and Middle Hill it is.
Under Section 23 of the wildlife act, it is actually ILLEGAL to charge for the taking of trout, shooting deer or gamebirds.
But who gives a shit? the gummin dont cos they get a tax rakeoff.

that would be hill country helicopters and they only charge for land access but i hear what your sayin, I always did a roar trip somewhere but have flagged it now as the operators have the blocks booked back to back for weeks and fail to show you the boundries of the blocks unless you specificly ask them, would rather go to my little slice of sika heaven for free and get to 4wd at the same time

i went and stalked a local farm for a couple hours today and got a couple ducks to top up the frezer

new shotgun today, splashed out and got a new moseburg 930 synthetic. 3", very nice ballance. went for a shot tonight, the guys at H/F told me it would be loud as it has a ported barrell, Bloody hell three shots in and my ears were ringin. time for some ear plugs. but alas no ducks tonight hopefully get some pheasents tommorow

plucking them.

went out yesterday and mist 3 shots at the ducks. but got two goats in the afternoon to make up for it.

ahhh the halfway house, such fond memories... of my dad snoring and Bob farting in chorus with the robbo joining in to make the trio

the new tool showing no intrest at all in ducks

went for a shoot this morning and baged a couple of pheasents, wasnt to hard as there was heaps of them running around great way to spend sunday morning

got a 6.5 kilo turkey with my bow
seen a few cattle running round in the bush where i hunt... hopefully the ferals are coming back

got this little good eater last night
