dunno if its where Pete got them from but I got mine from STA parts in auckland. They usually have a selection on TM as well

check them out at http://www.staparts.co.nz/

Click on the Image which is the brand of seats and look at selection. The basic black vinyl ones (fixed Back) are well priced for a pair.

getting a few pm,s, few people keen to have a play...........................

talked about this once b4, we should run a couple offroad express rounds one day?
maybe 3 rounds b4 laurie sanson starts.

nothing worse then having a perfectly good 4x4 and no where to spin the tyres

I will get incontact with Trev one of these days, but really, who care's what it is. If the Jeep guys wanna wank over it great, let them

To me its just a set of grunty mud tyres with a V8 to spin them all in a nice heavy duty package :D :D

no point wanking over it Pete.... its not a jeep, so i wouldnt waste my seed!!!! :D (dare i say it though, its made to look like a jeep, but would probably outlast and outperform 99% of the Jeeps around... Im gunna get shot for saying that.....)

Awesome effort man, well done.

hazzards be like a winch challange but without the winching, if u get my drift
i.e multiple goes too clear a hazzard if needed , however in quickest possible time..........

should be fun, last club round had a rally section threw the bush, rough, airborne and like 3rd gear pinned
man the blood sure gets pumping................................

Quick update:

Flares, stickers, bonnet clips etc etc

Image

My fuel tank failed its cert on a non existant I.D tag, so after a few anxious weeks looking for a replacement or suitable alternative i finally got my hands on a fork lift tank. The fork lift tank was my original plan, but you just can't buy then from anywhere!!!!!

Image

The best part is i can now carry spare fuel on long trips!!!!! ( fork lift tanks are all about 40L from what i can tell)

The Honest truth???

Well, lets say the sad truth :(

Its still sitting in the shed with a broken axle and covered in mud from the last laurie sanson round. I got home and was really pissed that i had broken two axles in one day and was going to have to pull apart yet another diff and raid it for axles. I already had two sitting there minus axle shafts.

I also had an LJ81 sitting in the paddock ready to strip the diffs out of and slip under the 50.

It was then that i got thinking, if i put the LJ80 axles under it, then what next?? A bigger motor??

Basically, if i want a bigger motor and a stronger drive train i was going to be better off getting something else and butchering that.

So i covered it up in the shed, donated the LJ81 to another worthy cause and forgot about it for a while untill the new truck was ready.

I'm pretty attached to the 50, and have more spare parts for it than you would believe (two garden sheds full, plus some stuff out at Dan NZHunters, and more out at my parents), so i will pull the Lockright out of the rear in an effort to slow down the axle eating, and drive now and again on sundays :D

Unless someone makes me an offer i can't refuse :D

BTW, the 50's trailer is to small for the new wreckage :P , so looking for a bigger trailer if anyone comes accross a good deal :D

Had a good run in it at the weekend, engine is running much cleaner now :D

Trans is a bit dodgy, but will see what i can get done to it to make it hang in there a bit longer

The LPG Tank is WAAAAAAAAAAAAY to small. After a very quiet trundle up to the summit of Thompsons, and full throttle burst up to the top, a quick spin around some of the play areas and some shagging around rescueing other people from another group that where well stuck, i arrived back to the trailer with under 1/4 of a tank.

I really need that 80L tank in there, plus the Forklift tank for back up on long trips :D

Anyone got an 80L tank thats under 1000mm in length and would still scrape through a tank test kicking around?? The original tank is mint, but the ID plate has gone missing so they can't put a test cert on it apparently. I have another tank thats in test, but its 90L and too big for the hole
