I remember that day; now THAT was deep ... seem to recall a bus load of Japanese tourists getting all excited and shouting: "thar she blows". :wink: :lol:

Must be something about the Ashley, I remember waiting behind another SAF for it to clear a crossing, and seeing it floating down stream, trying to make for the bank, thought bugger that, I'm going back, his is way taller than mine :shock:
And he took about half an hour to get the water out of the air cleaner, and re RTV it up :roll:

I must admit though (in an attempt to get back on topic) it would be a great project to make the Kiwi 4WD submarine.
Of course it would have to be yellow :lol:

I also took vid footage of that and I use it in my trainings as a warning not to trust your snorkel unless you've sealed it yourself :wink:

I've never been too keen on trusting my snorkel but while the ram was off when it was ripped off by a tree a while ago I tried sealing off the top of the snorkle with the palm of my hand and it killed the engine within about 3 seconds..... shit I was lucky the snorkle didnt suck itself inside out the vaccum was so great :lol:
