have decided to keep the td42 and add a turbo from a tractor that i can "get" reasonably cheap from the tractor company we share a building with

will keep you all posted

also where can i find an exhust manifold for turbo? or should i give it a shot and make 1?

The turbo will dictate a little which manifold you get. Dzltec on outerlimits is talking about TD42 kits, ask him if he'll sell a manifold.

in terms of efficiency it would be strait air to air then air to air with a hole in the bonnet and a scoop :o then water to air. it all depends how far you want to go. And how much you want to spend :D

But the biggest selling point, no need to cut a hole in the bonnet with the water/air.
