Legally the speedo is supposed to be accurate, which would mean the odo is accurate too. So *if* the vehicle is certed correctly then the odo will be accurate.
Pretty sure it has to be accurate to within 5% or somewhere around there. But yeah you're right, most should be accurate by law but was just wondering if some have forgotten to calculate the ratio difference. As I'd love to have a Lexus 1uz in my cruiser and have good economy too!
